Hello! My name is Hana and I am the English Language Assistant for this year (2021/2022). I am really looking forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months and I hope that we're able to have lots of fun together! Story time! Let's read "Elmer the Patchwork Elephant"

 Hello everyone! For International Book Day, we read the story, "Elmer the Patchwork Elephant" together in English. Follow along below, then try out the art activity by coloring Elmer in many different colors :)

I Am Thankful For...

Last week, students in 5th and 6th grade learned about the important U.S. holiday, Thanksgiving! It is a day to spend time with family and friends, eat lots of tasty, traditional Thanksgiving food, and to think about all that you are thankful for in your life. 

After learning about Thanksgiving´s history and traditions, students took the time to think about what they are grateful for in their own lives. Then, they created "Thankful Turkeys" using their hands, and wrote what they are thankful for. Check out some of the beautiful examples below!

Students also listened to the popular Thanksgiving book, Run, Turkey, Run! Read along with the story here.

Using Present Simple to Describe Daily Routines

In the 5th and 6th grade English classes, we have been practicing the present simple tense by describing daily routines. 

See the Phineas and Ferb PowerPoint below to review speaking about daily routines and the time of day. At the end of the PowerPoint, unscramble the sentences by putting the words in the correct order.

¡¡¡¡¡¡Hola chic@s, bienvenid@s a un nuevo curso escolar!!!!! 

Damos la bienvenida también a Megan Cooper, que será nuestra auxiliar de conversación durante este curso. Esta vez su distribución horaria será distinta para respetar los grupos de convivencia. Durante el primer trimestre entrará en las clases de 5º y 6º, en el segundo trimestre lo hará en los cursos de 3º y 4º y por último entrará en 1º y 2º durante el tercer trimestre.

Our assistant Marisa finished her job with our school at the end of May, due to the circunstances that we are living caused by the Covid19 we couldn't say goodbye to her as we wish. 

Marisa, all the members of our school, teachers and pupils would like to thank you for your work, help, cooperation, patience and kindness with all of us. You did a great job even at the distance!!!

We will keep you in our minds.
